As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our client's state-of-the-art sampling equipment at customer sites worldwide.   • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry or a related technical field is preferred. Recent graduates with a strong desire to develop in this sector are also encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of valves, pumps, flow meters, flow computers, and electrical & instrumentation (E&I) systems.
  • Strong understanding of PLC, SCADA, and control systems. Experience with system integration is crucial, as well as the ability to troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (both spoken and written) as English is the primary language of communication.
  • A degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in process-related issues.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (50% of the time) and work in diverse environments.

Additional Requirements:

  • Based in Breda area, with regular international travel.
  • No requirement for Dutch, but fluent English is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global service team.

Their systems, developed in the Netherlands, play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling various parts of industrial processes. These advanced systems, including flow equipment and chemical analysis instruments, are integrated with PLC and SCADA systems to ensure smooth operations within complex production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission sampling systems, ensuring integration with the customer’s existing process systems, including flow meters, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
  • Properly configure and adjust systems to ensure optimal operation, taking into account the correct functioning of interconnected systems.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve software-related issues, particularly when dealing with system integration challenges.
  • Provide on-site support and training to customers, ensuring they understand system functionalities and maintenance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between PLC, SCADA, and other control systems used within the client's process.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and upgrades to ensure systems operate at peak performance.
  • Be prepared to travel internationally for at least 50% of your time, working on-site with customers worldwide.
